Well I say youth is wasted on the people who have no clue! I was hardly allowed to be young before my genomes kicked me in the ass and said, “hey, party’s over bitch”
One month sober tomorrow. It’s the longest I have gone without any kind of recreational substance use in three years. I’m not an alcoholic and I’m not sober by choice, but by necessity.
If you happen across me at a party or a bar and offer to get me a drink and I say, “oh no thanks I don’t drink” and you inquire why, my possible answers may include, “I have epilepsy, I’m pregnant, I need a liver transplant, I have a genetic mutation that has caused my perxisomes to malfunction and therefore my body cannot digest alcohol, and I have diabetes and I didn’t bring my insulin with me tonight - oops!”
